All of the hardwood pieces glued up, scraped, planed, squared and rough cut to length.

 All of the hardwood pieces joined to the same width, cut to final length and shape.


The next step is to make all of the joinery cuts with a router.

The strips were mixed up to have consistent coloring and patterns throughout the entire project, strategically organized and then glued.

vanity.

 Remember that vanity I was designing?


 Before & After.... of about half of the wood.
The reason it is in so many small sections is that we are ripping the boards [lengthwise cutting] so that we can turn them 90 degrees, exposing the grain to glue them back together, giving it a very linear grain pattern.

 If you were wondering what $160 worth of Ash looks like... [not including the middle stack]
